Dear members, Spring is finally here and with it a bit of sunshine, which really feels good. Just in time for that, our liquid sun has arrived, in the form of our second Dingle Founding Father's cask with the apt name Fearghal's Liquid Sun. You'll find out why it's called like that and why you absolutely must have a bottle further down in the newsletter.  There are also two events coming up soon. For the first one, we're only acting as a consultant, but we still want you to be informed. License to Grill in the food court of Knauf at Schmëtt is hosting a whisky dinner with whiskies from Diageo on May 16th. One of our whiskies has also made it into the lineup and it all sounds pretty good. Further information is to be found on their homepage www.ltg.lu over the next weeks. You may also save the date for our own next whiskey dinner: this one is to be held in Manternach at the Kachatelier on June 27th. As usual, there will be a high-quality menu, this time with whiskeys that we will select in part at this year's Limburg Whisky Fair. Regarding the Whisky Fair: all available places are taken. If you still want to visit the fair, you could plan it as a day trip, just don't forget the driver for the return! In autumn, our rarities tasting and a return to Bestial in Grass are in the planning, more on these over the coming months. New WCL bottling Dingle Founding Fathers "Fearghal's Liquid Sun"

Dingle is our Fernand's great love of whisky, as all those who have been around for some time should be aware. Thanks to his commitment, we became Founding Fathers of Dingle and were able to bottle the wonderful cask called Fearghal's Dream a few years ago, which most of you still remember fondly today. During the process of bottling the cask, Dingle approached us about having received a cask back from the original owner and whether we might be interested in taking it over. We tasted it, thought (briefly) and decided not to let this rare opportunity pass us by. Now, almost 5 years later, it's finally here. This bourbon-aged Dingle is ready to be bottled after once again developing wonderfully over the past few years. It's an Irish single malt at its best and Jim Mc Evan's oft-used term of Liquid Sun fits here like a glove. Liquid sun, warm, vanilla, delicious. The name is the program, Fearghal being the Gaelic version of Fernand, without whom the Dingle adventure would certainly never have taken place. Founding Fathers bottles are sought after and are becoming increasingly rare. Since they are all single casks bottled mostly at cask strength, each one has its own character. When I tasted this one in the distillery with the people from Dingle this summer, they were all very enthusiastic. According to them it is rare that after 10 years of maturation the character of the spirit itself would still be so present and it this cask definitely is pure Dingle. As mentioned, it is a pure bourbon cask maturation, bottled at cask strength of 59.9%. We are pricing it at €85 per bottle, which is really only possible, because as a club we can offer such things without an intermediary and without a large margin. The market price of the Founding Fathers is almost double that. To make sure that everyone gets a chance at a bottle, we are initially limiting sales to 2 bottles per member (4 for Family Members).  You can order as always via [email protected].
