We're happy to announce our new club bottling. In cooperation with Berry Bros. & Rudd we bottled this amazing Speyside Region Single Malt Whisky. It was distilled in 2007 and spent 12 years in a Sherry Puncheon before being bottled at cask strength (what else), without filtering or adding any colorant. On 16 March 2019 at 19:00, to celebrate into St. Patrick's Day will be held an Irish Whiskey tasting with 6 whiskeys from the green island, all bottled in cask strength. The price for the tasting is set at 30 € and its lineup is featuring some beautiful drams off the beaten track although some might already be familiar to you. The Macallan Single Cask 26 YO Ardbeg 1990 ... On 26th October we're introducing you to the world of whisky and food pairings. Discover how whisky can be the perfect partner for cheese and chocolate. Both have personally been selected by our treasurer who had the special opportunity to choose between 70 different casks at Signatory in Pitlochry, Scotland. They come each from a single cask, have been bottled at cask strength and been neither coloured nor chill filtered.
Number one is a Ballechin (heavily peated Edradour), distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2018. It spent its life in a Burgundy Cask which gives it its unique character. Number two is a Glen Rothes, distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2018. The Bourbon Hogshead made a real vanilla bomb out of this fine spirit. We are very pleased that we can host one of our famous whisky dinners at a very central location in Luxembourg, namely the Restaurant IKKI (19-21 Rives de Clausen, 2165 Luxembourg) on Thursday 31 May 2018. Starting time will be shortly after 7 pm and the Asia themed night will include the following menu: Yakitori, gyoza, samossa - Consommé katsuobushi, nouilles udon, crevette tempura - Tataki de saumon au sésame, sriracha, mayonnaise japonaise et pesto asiatique - Chawan-Mushi (Oeufs Royale à la japonaise, shiitaké, poulet et scampi) - Sorbet yuzu et espuma pomme grenade - Magret de canard laqué à l'asiatique, patates douces et condiment mangue/passion - Mochi glacé (yuzu, thé matcha et sésame) - Café et digestif The price for the evening is 90€ per person all included.
